ToonSoldiers FC's Mátyás Papp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jefferson Farfán in the 20th minute of play. After 23 minutes ToonSoldiers FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jefferson Farfán who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Jefferson Farfán almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ToonSoldiers FC's Mátyás Papp did a great save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicasio Raymond got free with Mátyás Papp in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Nicasio Raymond's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mátyás Papp was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. The Ultimo Bondi a Finisterre fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Ultimo Bondi a Finisterre's Nicasio Raymond looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Mátyás Papp made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Henry Aronsson was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicasio Raymond in the 51st minute of play forced ToonSoldiers FC's goalkeeper Mátyás Papp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
