Egídio Reis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 47th minute Birger Koppenhöfer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egídio Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

Júnior Pirani's late challenge caught a Borussia Ostermoordorf's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Egídio Reis came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Borussia Ostermoordorf's Birger Koppenhöfer. But to his dismay, Birger Koppenhöfer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-12. When the match was over Borussia Ostermoordorf could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Leões do Sul 53 throughout the match.
