The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 6 minutes of play, Deportivo Diamante U18's Mateo Sindo made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Egídio Reis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Inácio Saraiva's late challenge caught a Deportivo Diamante U18's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Inácio Saraiva helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th minute of the match Victoriano Quintin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Egídio Reis skillfully saved the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Leonides Dalmau had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Egídio Reis. Leões do Sul 53's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonides Dalmau was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Egídio Reis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leonides Dalmau's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Leonides Dalmau took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Egídio Reis. Egídio Reis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. If Leonides Dalmau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronaldinho de Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

Egídio Reis made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Leonides Dalmau sent off a good shot on target. Leonides Dalmau kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Egídio Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonides Dalmau in the 73rd minute of play. Egídio Reis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateo Sindo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonides Dalmau's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 85thth minute, Egídio Reis skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Egídio Reis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonides Dalmau in the 87th minute. Leonides Dalmau came free with the goalkeeper in the 95th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Egídio Reis could save by the left post. Deportivo Diamante U18 played a much better game than Leões do Sul 53 and deserved their victory. The Leões do Sul 53 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
