Terapia Intensiva's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clemente Fonda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Alberto Sena fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leões do Sul 53's protests and gave Alberto Sena a yellow card for diving instead. After 11 played minutes Leões do Sul 53 got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Sena. Severo Navarro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ronaldinho de Castro went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 18th minute Bernardo Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severo Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabricio Oliverioss short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Egídio Reis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 36th minute Alberto Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severo Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Terapia Intensiva's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldinho de Castro came free, but Severo Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tarcisio Baptista to strike the kick off in the second half. Alípio Albuquerque charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Severo Navarro came out and tried to block the shot, but Ronaldinho de Castro slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 55th minute. Leões do Sul 53's Egídio Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabricio Oliverios in the 65th minute of play. With a little luck, Terapia Intensiva's Severo Navarro got control of the ball when Bernardo Soeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Agustin Nuxila hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After 81 played minutes Leões do Sul 53 got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Sena. Egídio Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clemente Fonda in the 82nd minute of play. Bernardo Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severo Navarro having to interfere. 90 minutes into the game, Clemente Fonda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Egídio Reis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fabricio Oliverios received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Egídio Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Bernardo Soeiro made a precise shot to the right of Severo Navarro. Terapia Intensiva's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Leões do Sul 53's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
