Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stergios Koutsodimos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Stergios Koutsodimos sent off a good shot on target. 29 minutes into the match, Valentin Petrochenko dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 2-0. Ciro Oberrauch hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stergios Koutsodimos in the 35th minute.

52 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Petrochenko came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 53 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. In the 54th minute of the match Ciro Oberrauch shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Villamarina AFC's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlo Ciccone came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 58 minutes into the match, Kobe De Mees notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stergios Koutsodimos in the 70th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by Villamarina AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Petrochenko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute Villamarina AFC were awarded a corner. Ciro Oberrauch went to the cornerflag to take it. Ciro Oberrauch made a great header on Villamarina AFC's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. Villamarina AFC's Carlo Ciccone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 79th minute of play. 83 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Villamarina AFC the free kick. The supporters of Villamarina AFC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 85th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Stergios Koutsodimos came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ferruccio Sabatino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Salvador Gisbert hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stergios Koutsodimos in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Villamarina AFC's Edmondo Vespucci got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
