Rudi de Zwart's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. The Venezuela fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 16th minute of play forced Caseys Dreamteam 2's goalkeeper Ed Wilhelm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salvador Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Alex Chicote hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudi de Zwart in the 23rd minute of play. Ed Wilhelm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. In the 30th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ed Wilhelm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ed Wilhelm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 30th minute of play. After 31 minutes, Ted Heijer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caseys Dreamteam 2 and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ted Heijer hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 35th match minute, Caseys Dreamteam 2 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ghislain Liagre to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ed Wilhelm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matias Abadie got in the 37th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Jonathan Ferrant handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. The Caseys Dreamteam 2 fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Caseys Dreamteam 2's Matias Abadie looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Freek Wolf was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 42 minutes had been played. Freek Wolf hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matias Abadie made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ed Wilhelm prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Abadie in the 56th minute of play. In the last second Ed Wilhelm throw himself and got hold of the ball when Salvador Gisbert in the 63rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 67 minutes into the match, Matias Abadie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matias Abadie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Tomas Illescas took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ed Wilhelm. Ed Wilhelm dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. In the 73rdth minute of the game Matias Abadie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ed Wilhelm having to interfere. With 79 minutes on the clock, Elmar Steelman commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 79th minute of the game. One of Caseys Dreamteam 2:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Venezuela:s goal. After a rather tough play, Caseys Dreamteam 2's Rudi de Zwart got a free kick in the 85th minute. Ed Wilhelm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Caseys Dreamteam 2's Ed Wilhelm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 87th minute of play. Ralph Barels hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The supporters of Caseys Dreamteam 2 booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert got a free kick in the 93rd minute. When Camilo Gaos fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Camilo Gaos a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. In the 98th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Venezuela played a much better game than Caseys Dreamteam 2 and deserved their victory. The Caseys Dreamteam 2 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
