In the 2nd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Sebastián Puig to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Teddy Tholsted kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. Ferdinand Johnson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 14th match minute, ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Peiro to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teddy Tholsted got free with Julio Vera in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Ferdinand Johnson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 25th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 31 minutes, Daniel Zorita made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's Ferdinand Johnson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ferdinand Johnson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 34th minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teddy Tholsted in the 37th minute of play. Santiago Cachorro hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Kerem Titiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teddy Tholsted in the 57th minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teddy Tholsted in the 59th minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teddy Tholsted, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ferdinand Johnson, 1-3. ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's Fran Canta was substituted for Roger Peiro. In the 70th match minute, ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artal Burualla to maneuver through the defense. Luis Andino might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ferdinand Johnson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luis Andino ran back to his position shaking his head. Teddy Tholsted recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 90th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. Artal Burualla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Teddy Tholsted's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
