The supporters of Macedonia booed when The Punisher was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmundo Quadros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramadan Hristov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rd minute Edgar Miodek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Spase Kastrati saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ke Kun made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Vidoe Gegovski sent off a good shot on target. The Punisher's Ke Kun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save The Punisher from getting a goal against them. Ke Kun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diljan Dzaferi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Spase Kastrati showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Miodek, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Vidoe Gegovski was slow to take the kick. During this time Macedonia's players had a chance to rest. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diljan Dzaferi in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ke Kun saved The Punisher from getting behind. Ramadan Hristov struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Ke Kun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Macedonia. Valdir Martins blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Spase Kastrati having to make a save. Macedonia made a substitution. The The Punisher fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ke Kun should have stopped the shot. Macedonia's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
