Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mané Netto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anthon Finman made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ľubomír Demský in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Hising Island FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
