Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zoilo Sauca started the match with the kick off. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zoilo Sauca in the 4th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Colon Manrique saved UNITED from getting behind. In the 13th minute, Christian Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute of the match Thomas Izaguirre shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lautaro Navarro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. UNITED's Colon Manrique played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 20th minute of play. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zoilo Sauca, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. UNITED were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Honduras's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Samuel Arraz took the corner. The supporters of UNITED booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentín Carvallo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute Zoilo Sauca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 31st minute of play forced UNITED's goalkeeper Colon Manrique to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Colon Manrique didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmundo Espiga went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Espiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Colon Manrique breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind UNITED's goalkeeper Colon Manrique, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmundo Espiga to strike the kick off in the second half. UNITED's Colon Manrique played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Espinar in the 51st minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Anter Moreno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 54 played minutes, Honduras's Luca Espinar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Colon Manrique came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Honduras reached it. UNITED's Zoilo Sauca got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Honduras's Christian Sancho managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Thomas Izaguirre in the 58 minute of the game. After having played for 61 minutes, Moises Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moises Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Colon Manrique took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eder Saavedra made in the 80th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Darío Cabrol. The throw-in from Valentín Carvallo in the 81st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by UNITED's Eder Saavedra. Edmundo Espiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Colon Manrique tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Colon Manrique prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Milagros Cabal hit a great ball. 92 minutes into the match, Edmundo Espiga dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Colon Manrique, 0-2. Honduras's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
