A hard shot 7 in the game by Jardel Ribeiro from a close distance when the talented Dante Lacasa managed to make a qualified save. Mexico's players were relieved. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Slavo FC's Otávio Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute Clóvis Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clóvis Pinheiro took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Tales de Lara hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Felix Luque hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guilherme Wisnewski in the 24th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute Slavo FC were awarded a corner. Dominik Mnich went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Slavo FC's Dominik Mnich to fire away a dangerous shot which Dante Lacasa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 28th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otávio Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Valdemar de Souza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Slavo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. In the 29th minute, Valdemar de Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Clóvis Pinheiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. Slavo FC's Otávio Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 38th minute of play. The supporters of Mexico booed when Slavo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tales de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guilherme Wisnewski kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guilherme Wisnewski to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Slavo FC's Valdemar de Souza got a free kick in the 55th minute. It was a well-played corner which Luca Zorita managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guilherme Wisnewski in the 67th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Washington Lopes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute of the match Joel Gaona shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Otávio Sanches showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Otávio Sanches made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Otávio Sanches made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 72nd minute. Otávio Sanches was a little too slow when Lautaro Mancebo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 2-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Guilherme Wisnewski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Slavo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guilherme Wisnewski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dante Lacasa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Slavo FC's Otávio Sanches proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Slavo FC from getting a goal against them. Luca Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Otávio Sanches tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Facundo Cadaval had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mexico played a much better game than Slavo FC and deserved their victory. The Slavo FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
