After a defensive mix-up in Cacciola's zone, Facundo Cadaval stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugenio Bartolomucci came out of the goal and Facundo Cadaval tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Bartolomucci having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nunez Hernando in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. After 96 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Felix Luque. The Cacciola supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mexico's performance. The match ended with a win for Mexico.
