When Basarab Savin fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PacMan SugarEaters's protests and gave Basarab Savin a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in PacMan SugarEaters fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! In the 42nd minute there was a penalty for Costa Rica. Axel Tasis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kenny Ugla. 5-2. Benito Sanz was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Tim Brenner capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tim Brenner really showed his touch with that goal: 6-2. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The supporters of PacMan SugarEaters booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, PacMan SugarEaters's Kenny Ugla got control of the ball when Axel Tasis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Axel Tasis hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. 84 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Alebeck came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pankracy Ferfecki in the 92nd minute of play. After having played for 93 minutes, Jan Lind managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PacMan SugarEaters's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan Lind was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pankracy Ferfecki in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind.
