Samuel Aires was slow to take the kick. During this time Internacional de Lisboa's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Abel Alves heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Espiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Qin Ang Cheng breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 10th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qin Ang Cheng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 11 minutes, António Pimentel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Internacional de Lisboa's supporters crossed their fingers, but António Pimentel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abel Alves in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lautaro Navarro saved Honduras from getting behind. Donatien Bidart's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donatien Bidart helped the player get up and apologised. Honduras's Alexander Costa was substituted for Sebastian Villa. Donatien Bidart kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Lautaro Navarro made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Jan Hendrik Saarberg sent off a good shot on target.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abel Alves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Abel Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. António Pimentel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Moises Tafalla hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donatien Bidart in the 75th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Qin Ang Cheng managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The Internacional de Lisboa fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when Internacional de Lisboa's Jan Hendrik Saarberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Internacional de Lisboa made a substitution. Jiří Mrzena replaced Abel Alves.
