Santos Mino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alin Dragalina in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Sporting Royal's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Isazi came free, but Lucrețiu Roșeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nae Moisil struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Santos Mino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Royal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Corneliu Voican in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santos Mino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Corneliu Voican put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Santos Mino. Santos Mino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nae Moisil in the 28th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ionică Predescu during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Northern California booed when Sporting Royal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ionică Predescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Sporting Royal's Marcu Ploieșteanu got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 32nd match minute, Sporting Royal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alin Dragalina to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute, Gustavo Isazi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 35 minutes into the game, Marcu Ploieșteanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sporting Royal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Northern California the free kick. A collision led to Sporting Royal getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Marcu Ploieșteanu hit a great ball. Gustavo Isazis short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Lucrețiu Roșeanu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Marcu Ploieșteanu kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Lucrețiu Roșeanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustavo Isazi's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Jonathan Bernaldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucrețiu Roșeanu having to interfere. The supporters of Northern California booed when Sporting Royal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nae Moisil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Gustavo Isazi made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Northern California was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Tartalo to maneuver through the defense. Sporting Royal made a substitution. Damian Crăciun replaced Mugurel Vârșan. Hermes Soveral hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Santos Mino was a little too slow when Corneliu Voican got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 1-3. When Cosme Cimbron came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Sporting Royal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cosme Cimbron couldn't finish the play. In the 74th match minute, Sporting Royal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nae Moisil to maneuver through the defense. After 78 played minutes Sporting Royal got a freekick which was hit by Ionică Predescu. 84 minutes into the match, Gustavo Isazi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucrețiu Roșeanu. Sporting Royal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustavo Isazi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Santos Mino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cosme Cimbron in the 89th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cosme Cimbron got free with Santos Mino in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Northern California supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sporting Royal's performance. The match ended with a win for Sporting Royal.
