An unexpectedly hard shot by Mourad Rocchi in the 6th minute of play forced Sporting Royal's goalkeeper Lucrețiu Roșeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Manly FC's Jasmine Kaine got a free kick in the 14th minute. A collision led to Sporting Royal getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Virgil Panciu hit a great ball. When Alin Dragalina fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Royal's protests and gave Alin Dragalina a yellow card for diving instead. Lucrețiu Roșeanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robbie Fowler in the 22nd minute of the match. After having played for 24 minutes, Alin Dragalina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Royal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alin Dragalina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lucrețiu Roșeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robbie Fowler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, Sporting Royal's goal looked a bit too open when Robbie Fowler came free, but Lucrețiu Roșeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Artur Pernambucano made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Virgil Panciu sent off a good shot on target. Manly FC's Artur Pernambucano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavian Gherasescu in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Octavian Gherasescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robbie Fowler to make the kick off. Sporting Royal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manly FC the free kick. A collision led to Sporting Royal getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Mourad Rocchi's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lucrețiu Roșeanu firmly grabbed it by the left post. Sporting Royal made a substitution. Artur Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucrețiu Roșeanu didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 84th minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. In the 88th minute, Nae Moisil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 90 minutes into the match, Sporting Royal's goal looked a bit too open when Robbie Fowler came free, but Lucrețiu Roșeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Artur Pernambucano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgil Panciu, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcu Ploieșteanu during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 95 played minutes Sporting Royal got a freekick which was hit by Marcu Ploieșteanu. 96 minutes into the game, Mourad Rocchi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
