With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rob Burton in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Asgar Blennild saved 3City United from getting behind. Asgar Blennild showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robbie Fowler, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 16 minutes into the match, 3City United's goal looked a bit too open when Rob Burton came free, but Asgar Blennild reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Miroslaw Buda fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 3City United's protests and gave Miroslaw Buda a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Manly FC booed when 3City United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miroslaw Buda didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herman De Strijcker in the 26th minute of play forced 3City United's goalkeeper Asgar Blennild to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Asgar Blennild showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rob Burton in the 28th minute of the match. Manly FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mourad Rocchi in the 76th minute. If Robbie Fowler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the match, Manly FC's Mourad Rocchi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Asgar Blennild narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of 3City United booed when Manly FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paz Trezise didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manly FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
