In the 9thth minute of the game Marcelo Noceda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zemantauskas FC's Sílvio Penha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sílvio Penha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Larrieta, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. David Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute, Hernani Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diego Narbona kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Urki Espino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Penha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sílvio Penha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Noceda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Zemantauskas FC's Valdir Ortiz got a free kick in the 21st minute. Rodolfo Bonilla charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodolfo Bonilla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Club Puerto Quito fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 24th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Geovânio de Medeiros, was totally fooled by Zemantauskas FC's Miguel Negri, who 26 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 30 minutes into the match, Zemantauskas FC's Roger do Valle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Geovânio de Medeiros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Puerto Quito's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Miguel Negri was slow to take the kick. During this time Zemantauskas FC's players had a chance to rest. After 32 played minutes Club Puerto Quito got a freekick which was hit by Xantalen Carballo. Miguel Negri made a great header on Zemantauskas FC's corner, it was just that Club Puerto Quito's Geovânio de Medeiros managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 40th minute, Roger do Valle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roger do Valle in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geovânio de Medeiros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roger do Valle to make the kick off. David Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Geovânio de Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sílvio Penha made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Marcelo Noceda sent off a good shot on target. David Leal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Geovânio de Medeiros having to make a save. Roger do Valle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Geovânio de Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger do Valle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes into the match, Zemantauskas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Noceda came free, but Sílvio Penha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zemantauskas FC's Sílvio Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Noceda in the 78th minute of play. Armando Larrieta struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Sílvio Penha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Puerto Quito. The supporters of Club Puerto Quito booed when Zemantauskas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renato Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Puerto Quito's goalkeeper Geovânio de Medeiros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xurxo Detres during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
