Victor Viator's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Carlos Vale read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. When Vlad Enceanu came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the San Fernando Eagles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vlad Enceanu couldn't finish the play. If Vlad Enceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. João Carlos Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vlad Enceanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Carlos Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Polo Quinteros, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. The supporters of FC Catalunha booed when San Fernando Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicodemo Diestre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 29 minutes, Bartolo Salvator successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Fred Torres might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bartolo Salvator. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fred Torres ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 32nd minute, Polo Quinteros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. João Carlos Vale was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. San Fernando Eagles's Bartolo Salvator played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Torres in the 37th minute of play. San Fernando Eagles's Victor Viator got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. João Carlos Vale came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by San Fernando Eagles's Vlad Enceanu. But to his dismay, Vlad Enceanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vlad Enceanu in the 47th minute of play forced FC Catalunha's goalkeeper João Carlos Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Fred Torres made the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Michael Stor rounded FC Catalunha's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. Michael Stor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without João Carlos Vale having to make a save. FC Catalunha's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Vlad Enceanu scored to the left of an out of position João Carlos Vale, making the score, 0-5. FC Catalunha were furious when Christiano Tepedino was red carded, 65 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 66th match minute, FC Catalunha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christiano Tepedino to maneuver through the defense. Christiano Tepedino hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After having played for 68 minutes, Elias Navarro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Fernando Eagles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elias Navarro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. San Fernando Eagles made a substitution. Daniel Abeitia replaced Elias Navarro. In the 75th minute, Michael Stor fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Victor Viator scored 0-6 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Carlos Vale, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. José Augusto Paulista made in the 87th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Kléber Rodrigues immediately put the ball in play. João Carlos Vale made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Polo Quinteros sent off a good shot on target. When Victor Viator came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the San Fernando Eagles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Viator couldn't finish the play. João Carlos Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Sol in the 97th minute of the match.
