Catarino Novaiss short, quick shot in the 39thth minute got Elias Arnedo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Atlético Arenillas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cahya Haryanto in the 40th minute. Atlético Arenillas's Cahya Haryanto was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Elias Arnedo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Catarino Novais stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
