In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 9th minute of play forced AsLaN 1915's goalkeeper Gürsel Bahçıvan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Kjell-Arne Edström dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Julio Vera, 1-0. Gürsel Bahçıvan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 18th minute of play. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kjell-Arne Edström in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gürsel Bahçıvan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kjell-Arne Edström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Kjell-Arne Edström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Gürsel Bahçıvan in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. AsLaN 1915 made a substitution. Emirşah Tolgahan replaced Rahmi Gariboğlu. 64 minutes into the match, AsLaN 1915's Kjell-Arne Edström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. AsLaN 1915's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gaffar Okkan in the 65th minute. With a little luck, AsLaN 1915's Gürsel Bahçıvan got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Kjell-Arne Edström notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Daniel Zorita in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gürsel Bahçıvan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Mehmet Ali Onuker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Kjell-Arne Edström came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. AsLaN 1915's René Henriksen managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Primitivo Andino in the 94 minute of the game. In the 95thth minute of the game Kjell-Arne Edström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because AsLaN 1915 had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
