Eustaquio Jaizki started the match with the kick off. Carlos Germano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lino Rios, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the game, Paolo Caradaro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético Atlanta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFC FUSION the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Rios in the 21st minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Carlos Germano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute of the match AFC FUSION got a corner. Club Atlético Atlanta's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cristobal Bermudez ran over to the corner to take the kick. Lino Rios's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Germano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Marcos Berdoi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gerardo Beila, 1-0. 38 minutes into the match, AFC FUSION's goalkeeper Gerardo Beila had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paolo Caradaro. In the 42nd minute, Lino Rios made a precise shot to the right of Carlos Germano. Club Atlético Atlanta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lino Rios stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eustaquio Jaizki took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gerardo Beila. Gerardo Beila dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Carlos Germano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lino Rios's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. 65 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Rios came free, but Carlos Germano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, Fabio Artaldo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético Atlanta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFC FUSION the free kick. In the 75th minute, Fabio Artaldo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Club Atlético Atlanta getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Remigio Erramu hit a great ball. Gerardo Beila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Berdoi in the 80th minute of play. Paolo Caradaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerardo Beila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Berdoi in the 88th minute of the match. The supporters of AFC FUSION booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermengildo Erroman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Romulo Abilio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Germano having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Lino Rios notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano. Carlos Germano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Club Atlético Atlanta players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
