Jairo Guifre could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. 7 minutes into the match, AS Monaco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Roch Puch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 10th minute. Jairo Guifre could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Jairo Guifre's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dante Lacasa firmly grabbed it by the left post. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Roch Puch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Mai Jian Sen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jairo Guifre stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. AS Monaco FC's Roch Puch proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save AS Monaco FC from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 56th minute, which Roch Puch however easily saved by the left post. After 58 played minutes AS Monaco FC got a freekick which was hit by Jagan Van Landschoot. After 62 minutes of play, AS Monaco FC's Mai Jian Sen made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! 68 minutes into the match, Jairo Guifre had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jairo Guifre was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Avram Ştef, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Roch Puch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roch Puch made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 75th minute. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by AS Monaco FC's Jairo Guifre. But to his dismay, Jairo Guifre quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Mexico's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
