Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nacho Barbutski, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Nacho Barbutski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nacho Barbutski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 14th minute of play forced Loko Plovdiv's goalkeeper Vladimir Tomanov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nacho Barbutski got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guillermo Mariano made in the 19th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Camilo Gaos. Loko Plovdiv's Vladimir Tomanov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 21st minute of play. Vladimir Tomanov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nacho Barbutski went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Vladimir Tomanov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 31st minute of the match. Loko Plovdiv's Genadi Ahmakov managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Guillermo Mariano in the 34 minute of the game. Nacho Barbutski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Nacho Barbutski slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 37th minute. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 44 minutes into the match, Loko Plovdiv's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Vladimir Tomanov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nacho Barbutski in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. Loko Plovdiv's Vladimir Tomanov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Loko Plovdiv from getting a goal against them. Nacho Barbutski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimir Tomanov having to interfere. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. 65 minutes into the game, Loko Plovdiv's Nacho Barbutski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Vladimir Tomanov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ilcho Argirov made in the 72nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Nacho Barbutski. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nacho Barbutski in the 74th minute of the match. 76 minutes into the game, Salvador Gisbert was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Loko Plovdiv the free kick. In the 76th minute, Salvador Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nacho Barbutski in the 79th minute of play. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Loko Plovdiv booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Nacho Barbutski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nacho Barbutski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Nacho Barbutski came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vladimir Tomanov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. There was no doubt that Loko Plovdiv were the better team. Loko Plovdiv's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
