Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Joel Gaona took the kick off in the first half of the match. Camillo Pesce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lautaro Mancebo took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Grigoris Koufakis. Grigoris Koufakis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camillo Pesce in the 7th minute of play. Grigoris Koufakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Grigoris Koufakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 12th minute of the match. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Facundo Cadaval hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the match, FK Željezničar's Šemsudin Kamber sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Lacasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nikola Bogdanović in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Mexico booed when FK Željezničar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Maquibar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nikola Bogdanović in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 22nd minute of play forced FK Željezničar's goalkeeper Grigoris Koufakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grigoris Koufakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mexico's Joel Gaona managed to work through FK Željezničar's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Joel Gaona dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Grigoris Koufakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 27th minute of play. When Mexico's Facundo Cadaval in 30 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Grigoris Koufakis guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After 30 minutes, Facundo Cadaval made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. FK Željezničar's Grigoris Koufakis tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 33 minutes into the match, FK Željezničar's Nikola Bogdanović sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Lacasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 34th minute, Nikola Bogdanović made a precise shot to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Grigoris Koufakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Joel Gaona's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Grigoris Koufakis was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. After having played for 46 minutes, Nikola Bogdanović managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK Željezničar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nikola Bogdanović was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a rather tough play, Mexico's Luca Zorita got a free kick in the 51st minute. Nikola Bogdanović struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FK Željezničar. If Nelson Mandela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grigoris Koufakis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Tafalla went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. FK Željezničar made a substitution. Stevan Žižović replaced Ibrahim Veizović. FK Željezničar made a substitution. Kaid Šuman replaced Camillo Pesce. Grigoris Koufakis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lautaro Mancebo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 73 minute of play. In the 77th minute, Alberto Tafalla reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Grigoris Koufakis. The goal made the score 1-5. FK Željezničar's Adi Jusufović was substituted for Nelson Mandela. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Grigoris Koufakis in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adi Jusufović in the 84th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FK Željezničar's Grigoris Koufakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 86th minute of play. 88 minutes into the game, FK Željezničar's Adi Jusufović nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. Grigoris Koufakis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luca Zorita in the 92nd minute. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by FK Željezničar's Adi Jusufović. But to his dismay, Adi Jusufović quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-5. The Mexico players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
