When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Martin Erruki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martin Erruki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 11th minute of play. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Cezar Petruescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Ecuador booed when F.c Sobby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Aurelianu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martin Erruki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 19th minute of play forced F.c Sobby's goalkeeper Martin Erruki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Răzvan Găvănescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.c Sobby's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Martin Erruki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasile Nicola in the 25th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabian Pantelimon went to the cornerflag to take it. Martin Erruki didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Martin Erruki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Constantin Augustin's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Constantin Augustin helped the player get up and apologised. 35 minutes into the game, one of F.c Sobby:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Martin Erruki had in the 36thth minute some difficulties stopping Daniel Zorita's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Martin Erruki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. F.c Sobby's Martin Erruki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Cezar Petruescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Şimşek Kako had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Şimşek Kako sent off a good shot on target.
52 minutes into the match, F.c Sobby's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Martin Erruki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Manole Valerian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 53rd minute, which Martin Erruki however easily saved by the left post. In the 57th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Agustín Saelices could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Martin Erruki made a huge save. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 60th minute, which Martin Erruki however easily saved by the left post. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Felix Montenegro took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Martin Erruki to make any attempt to save it. F.c Sobby's Martin Erruki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save F.c Sobby from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şimşek Kako in the 76th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Erruki made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Agustín Saelices sent off a good shot on target. 80 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of F.c Sobby's Martin Erruki. Martin Erruki was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind F.c Sobby's goalkeeper Martin Erruki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 83rd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 85th minute, Cezar Petruescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 89th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Martin Erruki was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Martin Erruki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 93 minutes F.c Sobby's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
