Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zoltán Markó, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Facundo Cadaval blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gabriel Bueras having to make a save. In the 34th minute, Joel Gaona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gabriel Bueras was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Bueras having to interfere. Gabriel Bueras didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Tafalla went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After the first half Mexico were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Mosoni Fiúk's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Gabriel Bueras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luca Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Gabriel Bueras in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after Mosoni Fiúk's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Mosoni Fiúk's goalie and right to Facundo Cadaval. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Mosoni Fiúk's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 77 minutes into the match, Mosoni Fiúk's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Gabriel Bueras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from János Salgó in the 81st minute of play. In the 82ndth minute of the game Luca Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mosoni Fiúk's Gabriel Bueras was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luca Zorita didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 0-5 via right post in the game's 82nd minute. Mexico's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! With a little luck, Mosoni Fiúk's Gabriel Bueras got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Mosoni Fiúk's zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Bueras came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
