Túlio Porto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dé Ribeiro in the 25th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dé Ribeiro got free with Túlio Porto in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 28 minutes into the match, Marambaia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bebeto de Mendonça came free, but Rafael Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicolas Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 38th minute Bebeto de Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tapera's Alan Coutinho got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 45 minutes into the game, Tony de Moraes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marambaia FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tapera the free kick. When Adhemar Reis fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marambaia FC's protests and gave Adhemar Reis a yellow card for diving instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dé Ribeiro to make the kick off. Rafael Miranda made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Nicolas Duarte sent off a good shot on target. The score was now 0-1. 78 minutes into the match, Marambaia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bebeto de Mendonça came free, but Rafael Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Tapera's Haroldo Vargas got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 84th minute, Tony de Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rafael Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bebeto de Mendonça in the 86th minute of play. Dé Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
