The audience was convinced that Hercule Caire's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vinícius Marques was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. In the 10thth minute of the game Just Bouley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Desportivo Coimbra's Vinícius Marques was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Ammerschwihr's Hercule Caire sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vinícius Marques narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Raymond Maillot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jailson Berger in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Desportivo Coimbra's goal looked a bit too open when Hercule Caire came free, but Vinícius Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Just Bouley blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vinícius Marques having to make a save. Ammerschwihr's Boris Delaune couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 20th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Desportivo Coimbra. When Ammerschwihr's Just Bouley in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Desportivo Coimbra's goalie prevented a goal. In the 22ndth minute of the game Just Bouley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Desportivo Coimbra's Vinícius Marques was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ammerschwihr's Raymond Maillot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frédson Massa in the 27th minute of play. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ammerschwihr's goalkeeper Raymond Maillot, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hercule Caire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Just Bouley in the 34th minute of play forced Desportivo Coimbra's goalkeeper Vinícius Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ammerschwihr booed when Desportivo Coimbra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rômulo Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 36 minutes, Just Bouley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ammerschwihr's supporters crossed their fingers, but Just Bouley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 37 minutes into the game, Hercule Caire cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Vinícius Marques was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Just Bouley put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Vinícius Marques. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jailson Berger was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Desportivo Coimbra got a freekick which was hit by Rômulo Queirós. 61 minutes into the game, one of Ammerschwihr:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Desportivo Coimbra a penalty, 62 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Vladimir Gaúcho, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ammerschwihr's Raymond Maillot. 1-3. When Just Bouley fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ammerschwihr's protests and gave Just Bouley a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ammerschwihr getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Just Bouley hit a great ball. 67 minutes into the match, Desportivo Coimbra's goalkeeper Vinícius Marques had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Just Bouley. Noel Baptista kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Johan Gèle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Just Bouley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Rômulo Queirós fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Desportivo Coimbra's protests and gave Rômulo Queirós a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ammerschwihr booed when Desportivo Coimbra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rômulo Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. Johan Gèle received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vinícius Marques came out and tried to block the shot, but Johan Gèle slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 76th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Johan Gèle in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vinícius Marques prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ammerschwihr's Just Bouley got his second yellow card of the match in the 80th minute. The referee ordered Just Bouley off the ground. Just Bouley hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Hercule Caire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinícius Marques having to interfere. Hercule Caire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Vinícius Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Desportivo Coimbra's zone, Boris Delaune stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vinícius Marques came out of the goal and Boris Delaune tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ammerschwihr's Raymond Maillot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Eger in the 97th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ammerschwihr had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
