In the 3rd minute, Reynaldo Brasil fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Reynaldo Brasil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Túlio Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Severino da Fonseca was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 9th minute. Altonia's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Tapera's Túlio Porto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Tapera from getting a goal against them. In the 15th minute Reynaldo Brasil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Túlio Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Túlio Porto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reynaldo Brasil in the 21st minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Reynaldo Brasil dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Túlio Porto, 1-0. Alan Coutinho might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elias Munhoz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alan Coutinho ran back to his position shaking his head. Bebeto de Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Túlio Porto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reynaldo Brasil in the 31st minute of the match. Altonia's Reynaldo Brasil got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Róbson das Neves's late challenge caught a Tapera's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Róbson das Neves helped the player get up and apologised. Alan Coutinho hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Reynaldo Brasil was the one to do the kick off. Elias Munhoz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Duarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Túlio Porto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reynaldo Brasil's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Altonia's Elias Munhoz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Altonia from getting a goal against them. Túlio Porto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Brasil, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 57 minutes into the game, Luisão Mesquita was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. If Severino da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bebeto de Mendonça struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Elias Munhoz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tapera. Severino da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Túlio Porto having to interfere. Tapera's Túlio Porto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Brasil in the 70th minute of play. Luisão Mesquita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Túlio Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Altonia's Reynaldo Brasil sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Túlio Porto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Tapera's zone, Severino da Fonseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Túlio Porto came out of the goal and Severino da Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Bebeto de Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino da Fonseca in the 83rd minute of play forced Tapera's goalkeeper Túlio Porto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute, Tapera's Alan Coutinho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Elias Munhoz. Elias Munhoz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Túlio Porto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Severino da Fonseca went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Tapera's Túlio Porto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Brasil in the 94th minute of play. In the 96th match minute, Altonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silas Matos to maneuver through the defense.
