In the 7th match minute, Icaicara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filipe Prata to maneuver through the defense. Henrique Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dilan Boury in the 15th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Adhemar Massa took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Kamel Tisserant to make any attempt to save it. Kamel Tisserant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adhemar Massa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marly's Émilien Braud got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 29 played minutes Icaicara got a freekick which was hit by João Vítor Brito. 30 minutes into the match, Icaicara's goal looked a bit too open when Émilien Braud came free, but Henrique Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Dilan Boury put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Henrique Neves. After having played for 37 minutes, Adhemar Massa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Icaicara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adhemar Massa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Adhemar Massa came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Icaicara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adhemar Massa couldn't finish the play. Henrique Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dilan Boury, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the game, Geovânio de Barros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Kamel Tisserant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dilan Boury was the one to do the kick off. Dilan Boury sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Icaicara getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Paulo Renato Lopez hit a great ball. In the 55th minute, Dilan Boury reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Henrique Neves. The goal made the score 2-3. The supporters of Icaicara booed when Marly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Grangeon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute, Antônio Custódio sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Marly's Kamel Tisserant didn't even have to move. After a defensive mix-up in Icaicara's zone, Émilien Braud stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henrique Neves came out of the goal and Émilien Braud tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Geovânio de Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Kamel Tisserant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adhemar Massa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kamel Tisserant having to make a save. Marly's Kamel Tisserant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adhemar Massa in the 81st minute of play. In the 82nd match minute, Marly was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaac Grangeon to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adhemar Massa in the 83rd minute of play forced Marly's goalkeeper Kamel Tisserant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 94 played minutes Marly got a freekick which was hit by Noël Bodin. Adhemar Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kamel Tisserant having to interfere. Christian Ricaud kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. The Marly players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
