The audience was convinced that Peruxu Gallegos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henrique Neves was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Rameriz Montealegre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adhemar Massa, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Peruxu Gallegos in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henrique Neves saved Icaicara from getting behind. Icaicara's Henrique Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Merexildo Prieto in the 22nd minute of play. Henrique Neves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Esiquio Arrese went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 26thth minute of the game Esiquio Arrese who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Icaicara's Henrique Neves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Henrique Neves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Peruxu Gallegos went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esiquio Arrese in the 48th minute of play forced Icaicara's goalkeeper Henrique Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Sangre Guaraní FC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Peruxu Gallegos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Icaicara's Henrique Neves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Icaicara from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Sangre Guaraní FC booed when Icaicara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Válter Valadares didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Fresco Coyences from long distance, 76 minutes into the match, got Henrique Neves's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After having played for 89 minutes, Peruxu Gallegos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sangre Guaraní FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peruxu Gallegos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Pedro Furlan notched a goal, 1-8, to the right of Sangre Guaraní FC's Rameriz Montealegre. Rameriz Montealegre was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sangre Guaraní FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
