Bebeto de Mendonça took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kamel Tisserant. Kamel Tisserant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Elias Fonseca hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 45thth minute of the game Émilien Braud who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tapera's Túlio Porto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tapera's Alberto Ribeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alberto Ribeiro to make the kick off. The supporters of Marly booed when Tapera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 53rd minute, Marly's Dilan Boury ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Túlio Porto. Túlio Porto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. After some careless play in the Marly defense, Alberto Ribeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kamel Tisserant. The Marly fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kamel Tisserant should have stopped the shot. When Bebeto de Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Tapera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bebeto de Mendonça couldn't finish the play. Émilien Braud blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Túlio Porto having to make a save. Dilan Boury could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Túlio Porto made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christian Ricaud during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Christian Ricaud kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. After 95 played minutes, Tapera's Reinaldo Amaral shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kamel Tisserant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tapera reached it.
