Victorio Arotza's late challenge caught a Inter de Chillán's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victorio Arotza helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th minute of the match Lothar Matthæus sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rosendo Eufrasio skillfully saved the ball. In the 7th minute Vatan Enfal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rosendo Eufrasio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rosendo Eufrasio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vatan Enfal went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 12th minute of the match, Alvise Biancone tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but José Ignacio Rocha saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Rosendo Eufrasio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vatan Enfal, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Rosendo Eufrasio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vatan Enfal in the 18th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Alvoha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vatan Enfal came free, but Rosendo Eufrasio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfonso Sotta struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Rosendo Eufrasio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inter de Chillán. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vatan Enfal in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rosendo Eufrasio saved Alvoha FC from getting behind. Alvoha FC's Rosendo Eufrasio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vatan Enfal in the 28th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Alfonso Sotta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inter de Chillán fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Rosendo Eufrasio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vatan Enfal, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Filiberto Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Ignacio Rocha having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's goal looked a bit too open when Alvise Biancone came free, but José Ignacio Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcel Wassermayer charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcel Wassermayer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th match minute, Inter de Chillán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcel Wassermayer to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Inter de Chillán were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vatan Enfal made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Vatan Enfal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rosendo Eufrasio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Alvoha FC's Rosendo Eufrasio got control of the ball when Vatan Enfal tried to sneak it across the goal line. José Ignacio Rocha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rodrigo Santos went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Alvoha FC made a substitution. Fidel Hermelando replaced Epifanio Beremundo. Alvoha FC's Rosendo Eufrasio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Alvoha FC from getting a goal against them. 62 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Santos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. José Ignacio Rocha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. José Ignacio Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruperto Quin in the 69th minute of play. After 70 minutes, Filiberto Fernandez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alvoha FC and the Inter de Chillán players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 70 played minutes Alvoha FC got a freekick which was hit by Filiberto Fernandez. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 72nd minute of the game. One of Inter de Chillán:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Alvoha FC:s goal. Inter de Chillán:s José Ignacio Rocha showed great skill when he stopped Rodrigo Santos:s penalty. 74 minutes into the match, Rodrigo Santos notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Inter de Chillán's José Ignacio Rocha. José Ignacio Rocha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rosendo Eufrasio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Abel in the 78th minute of play. Alvoha FC made a substitution. Ladislao Aragones replaced Rodrigo Santos. After having played for 87 minutes, Eladio Araujo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inter de Chillán's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eladio Araujo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rosendo Eufrasio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eladio Araujo, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 89th minute, Fidel Hermelando made a precise shot to the right of José Ignacio Rocha. Inter de Chillán's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. Rosendo Eufrasio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Abel in the 94th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Eladio Araujo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rosendo Eufrasio. That made the score 5-4 in the 94 minute of play. Rosendo Eufrasio came out of the goal in the 98th minute to try and stop a shot by Inter de Chillán's Samuel Abel. But to his dismay, Samuel Abel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-5.
