The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Inter de Chillán's José Ignacio Rocha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Inter de Chillán from getting a goal against them. Albino Zenteno hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Inter de Chillán's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mercurio San Martín was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abeluse Flow's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Samuel Abel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Inter de Chillán had played much better football throughout.
