The referee showed Cedro Pantoja the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 44 played minutes Sporting Burgas got a freekick which was hit by Cedro Pantoja. Álvaro Perpiñán showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Epifanio Beremundo in the 45th minute of the match. Sporting Burgas's Álvaro Perpiñán played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Epifanio Beremundo in the 47th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Davor Šuker made a kick off. When Epifanio Beremundo came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Alvoha FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Epifanio Beremundo couldn't finish the play. Alvoha FC made a substitution. Fidel Hermelando replaced Epifanio Beremundo. In the 60th minute, Rodrigo Santos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Álvaro Perpiñán was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 63 minutes into the game, Ke Xiong Chen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sporting Burgas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alvoha FC the free kick. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sporting Burgas made a substitution. Antonio Fioriti replaced Vintilă Ghițulescu. After some careless play in the Alvoha FC defense, Davor Šuker kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rosendo Eufrasio. The Alvoha FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rosendo Eufrasio should have stopped the shot. The corner led Alvoha FC's Alvise Biancone to fire away a dangerous shot which Álvaro Perpiñán despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Fidel Hermelando could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Álvaro Perpiñán made a huge save. In the 84th minute, Alonzo Lizar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 85 played minutes, Sporting Burgas's Davor Šuker shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rosendo Eufrasio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sporting Burgas reached it.
