Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. It was a well-played corner which Godfredo Baladi managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Julio Barroso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcio Carreira in the 29th minute of the match. Douglas Damião took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Barroso. Julio Barroso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arsenio Bide in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Berenguer Tolosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Arsenio Bide's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Berenguer Tolosa was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arsenio Bide was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Arsenio Bide shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berenguer Tolosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FCSB CUENCA's zone, Arsenio Bide stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Berenguer Tolosa came out of the goal and Arsenio Bide tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by FCSB CUENCA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arsenio Bide was slow to take the kick. During this time Abeluse Flow's players had a chance to rest. In the 67th minute, FCSB CUENCA's Marcio Carreira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julio Barroso. Julio Barroso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. After a defensive mix-up in FCSB CUENCA's zone, Arsenio Bide stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Berenguer Tolosa came out of the goal and Arsenio Bide tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 73 minutes into the game, Abeluse Flow's Arsenio Bide nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Berenguer Tolosa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. If Jimeno Salazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Francisco Sanchess short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Julio Barroso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Martín Vicente kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Abeluse Flow's goalkeeper Julio Barroso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Douglas Damião. Borys Jarocewicz's late challenge caught a Abeluse Flow's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Borys Jarocewicz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to FCSB CUENCA getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Borys Jarocewicz hit a great ball. The FCSB CUENCA players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
