Teofilo Esdras was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ingimundur Eiríksson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. Ingimundur Eiríksson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 46 minutes, Teofilo Esdras successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Ingimundur Eiríksson made the kick off in the second half.
