Domingo Diaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Lisandro Nuñez notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Chacarita Jrs's Domingo Diaz. Domingo Diaz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Chacarita Jrs's Domingo Diaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lisandro Nuñez in the 17th minute of play. With a little luck, Chacarita Jrs's Domingo Diaz got control of the ball when Lisandro Nuñez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lisandro Nuñezs short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Domingo Diaz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 24 played minutes Chacarita Jrs got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Oxel. After having played for 27 minutes, Lisandro Nuñez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SAN LORENZO FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lisandro Nuñez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute of the match, Lisandro Nuñez got a very nice opportunity to score, but Domingo Diaz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Ciriaco Cordarrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciriaco Cordarrell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Domingo Diaz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. After having played for 89 minutes, Artur Quintas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The audience was convinced that Ciriaco Cordarrell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Domingo Diaz was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. In the 93rdth minute of the game Ciriaco Cordarrell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chacarita Jrs's Domingo Diaz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Chacarita Jrs's zone, Rafael Tiniebra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domingo Diaz came out of the goal and Rafael Tiniebra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96th match minute, Chacarita Jrs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Ciano to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SAN LORENZO FC had won after a very even match.
