In the 38th minute Victor Deunoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Massó saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Plumerillo's Abel Matro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Ferrer in the 45th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cirilo Salvino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Abel Matro was left in no man's land by his defense there! 86 minutes into the game, Plumerillo's Jacobo Gonzo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodrigo Massó made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. If Simon Ferrer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abel Matro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Ferrer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
