Tadeo Udalaitz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hans-Hermann Spieler went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Machine Gun Kelly's Geoffrey Wolden quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Paulo Díaz, made in the 45th minute of the game. After the first half Torino FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
