Lucio Galo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pankracy Glogowski having to interfere. Pankracy Glogowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeledon Sol, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Areco FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucio Galo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 47 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Remigio Erramu. The Club Atlético Atlanta players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Areco FC were winning 0-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zeledon Sol made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Marcos Berdoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Atlanta's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcos Berdoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabriel Urtats breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Areco FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Emil Chwalkiewicz was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Atlético Atlanta's players had a chance to rest. Paolo Caradaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Urtats having to interfere. Şevket Çağa took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gabriel Urtats. Gabriel Urtats dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Club Atlético Atlanta had won after a very even match.
