Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gaudencio Frichoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Gaudencio Frichoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 19th minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Murillo couldn't finish the play. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Victorio Mosen, made in the 57th minute of the game. In the 59th minute, Rolando Schiavi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gaudencio Frichoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 60th minute of play. Gaudencio Frichoso was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luz Tejedor showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 65 minute of play.
