Federico Jarabas short, quick shot in the 5thth minute got Joaquin Gayoso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Simon Ayala came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the E-xplosión Blue 8k fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simon Ayala couldn't finish the play. When Jaime Cazalla came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. Santis Gavilanes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Cazalla in the 11th minute of the match. Uruguay were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after E-xplosión Blue 8k's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jaime Cazalla took the corner. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguay's zone, Federico Jaraba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Federico Jaraba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kevin Carballal kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santis Gavilanes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute Jaime Cazalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santis Gavilanes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Nivaldo Carreira in the 25th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. If Alberto Gisbert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Ayala came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santis Gavilanes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 40th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Juan-Carlos Riancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 47 played minutes E-xplosión Blue 8k got a freekick which was hit by Rogerio Villa. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Seco made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Simon Ayala in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 57 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Jaraba came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute, Federico Jaraba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Simon Ayala's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simon Ayala helped the player get up and apologised. In the 68th minute, Simon Ayala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Uruguay defense, Federico Jaraba kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. The Uruguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquin Gayoso should have stopped the shot. Federico Jaraba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 86 in the game by Francisco Seco from a close distance when the talented Santis Gavilanes managed to make a qualified save. E-xplosión Blue 8k's players were relieved. Francisco Seco had several of the E-xplosión Blue 8k's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 86 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Santis Gavilanes as he didn't even see the shot coming. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Jorge Sainz got a free kick in the 90th minute. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Santis Gavilanes made a huge save. In the 95th minute, Maximiliano Escribano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
