Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruperto Fidele in the 2nd minute of play. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abel Carballo charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abel Carballo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th minute, Abel Carballo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 11 minutes into the match, ATOWN's Ruperto Fidele broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 14 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 陈默兴. The audience thought a goal was coming when 陈默兴 got free with Benito Sanz in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cornelius Gother could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Axel Tasis succeeded in the game's 24th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. ATOWN's Gabriel Ingmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 27th minute of play. Cornelius Gother scored 1-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 32nd match minute, ATOWN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruperto Fidele to maneuver through the defense. 陈默兴's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Benito Sanz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Costa Rica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Ruperto Fidele scored to the left of an out of position Benito Sanz, making the score, 2-1. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

After 51 minutes of play Costa Rica's Abel Carballo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 54 minutes, Oliver Lasthein mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ATOWN and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. Oliver Lasthein hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Gabriel Ingmann made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 55th minute. ATOWN's Gabriel Ingmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 57th minute of play. After 59 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Noboa. ATOWN made a substitution. Aske Mende replaced Cornelius Gother. Alexander Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Lautaro Puig's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gabriel Ingmann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of ATOWN booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Noboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by 陈默兴 in the 78th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. August Allistair kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Lautaro Puig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aske Mende struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ATOWN. When Lautaro Puig came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Puig couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruperto Fidele in the 95th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. ATOWN had played much better football throughout.
