When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Cuarto Charro took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Lautaro Navarro to make any attempt to save it. Zilar Presedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Luca Espinar got a free kick in the 44th minute. Ryan Reynolds kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Sebastian Villa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edmundo Espiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zilar Presedo having to interfere. Moises Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zilar Presedo having to interfere. After 55 played minutes San Marino Thm got a freekick which was hit by James Rodriguez. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jader Duran in the 57th minute of play. When Honduras's Edmundo Espiga in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The San Marino Thm fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmundo Espiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
