An unexpectedly hard shot by Çeliker Dölek in the 9th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Sakaryaspor's Önder Kornes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Villa in the 12th minute of play forced Sakaryaspor's goalkeeper Thanos Saatsakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Emanuel Ocampo hit a great ball. Çeliker Dölek came free with the goalkeeper in the 22nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lautaro Navarro could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, Sakaryaspor's Esat Şahit got a free kick in the 23rd minute. If Gabriel Vaagen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Çeliker Dölek. Honduras's Sebastian Villa got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lautaro Navarro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Çeliker Dölek in the 34th minute. Çeliker Dölek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. When Honduras's Edmundo Espiga in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sakaryaspor's goalie prevented a goal. Hudson Magalhães kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Çeliker Dölek scored 2-0 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lautaro Navarro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 44 minutes, Önder Kornes made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Çeliker Dölek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Çeliker Dölek in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Çeliker Dölek in the 56th minute of play. Edmundo Espiga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Thanos Saatsakis made a huge save. If Önder Kornes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sakaryaspor made a substitution. Dinçer Pekel replaced Çeliker Dölek. Hudson Magalhães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanos Saatsakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Villa, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinçer Pekel in the 76th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Dinçer Pekel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lautaro Navarro was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dinçer Pekel in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 83 minutes Honduras's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sezer Kutertan who took care of the corner kick. In the 85th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Navarro to maneuver through the defense. Sezer Kutertan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Önder Kornes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Honduras players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sakaryaspor.
