Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cléber Catarinense kicked off to start the match. When Israel Edorta came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the Sport Club Abrilense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Israel Edorta couldn't finish the play. After 9 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Perälä in the 10th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Sport Club Abrilense's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Loris Karius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Bruggink in the 13th minute of play. Sport Club Abrilense's Loris Karius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 14th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Loris Karius prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Loris Karius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 26th minute of the match. Loris Karius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of play. Loris Karius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Ecuador's Diego Mancebo was substituted for Agustín Saelices. Joel Perälä kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Loris Karius. Sport Club Abrilense's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dan Rüdy hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After having played for 43 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute Dan Rüdy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Perälä was slow to take the kick. During this time Sport Club Abrilense's players had a chance to rest. Joel Perälä made a great header on Sport Club Abrilense's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 72nd minute, Diego Mancebo made a precise shot to the right of Loris Karius. Sport Club Abrilense's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Felix Montes hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 77th minute of play forced Sport Club Abrilense's goalkeeper Loris Karius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diego Mancebo took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Loris Karius. Loris Karius dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. The supporters of Sport Club Abrilense booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 85th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Loris Karius could save by the left post. 87 minutes into the game, Severino Bruggink cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 90 minutes into the match, Sport Club Abrilense's goalkeeper Loris Karius had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diego Mancebo. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sport Club Abrilense.
