Antonio Patrido charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antonio Patrido the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in BFC 1982 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 11th minute. Penalty! Stefanos Terzopoulos walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 14th minute, Damian Maftei ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cesario Roma was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. If Leandro Corderro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damian Maftei didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 2-0 via right post in the game's 19th minute. Esmeraldas S.C.'s supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! After taking down the ball on Esmeraldas S.C.'s corner Damian Maftei fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cesario Roma quite easily take care of the ball. Cesario Roma made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damian Maftei in the 27th minute. The BFC 1982 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cesario Roma should have stopped the shot. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Damian Maftei made a kick off. With an all-out effort, BFC 1982's Aguinaga Nebot threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edgardo Txaran, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Damian Maftei struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Cesario Roma didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esmeraldas S.C.. Cesario Roma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willy Reynolds, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Maftei in the 65th minute of play forced BFC 1982's goalkeeper Cesario Roma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cesario Roma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martinez Cines in the 66th minute of the match. Esmeraldas S.C. made a substitution. Aguinaga Nebot came out of the goal and Celedonio Ariando tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edgardo Txaran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aguinaga Nebot having to interfere. After some careless play in the BFC 1982 defense, Willy Reynolds kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cesario Roma. The BFC 1982 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cesario Roma should have stopped the shot. BFC 1982's Cesario Roma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Willy Reynolds in the 90th minute of play. Esmeraldas S.C.'s Willy Reynolds got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 93 minutes, the score became 7-1 when Willy Reynolds sped through BFC 1982's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cesario Roma. After a defensive mix-up in BFC 1982's zone, Stefanos Terzopoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesario Roma came out of the goal and Stefanos Terzopoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the BFC 1982 players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Esmeraldas S.C..
