The supporters of Esmeraldas S.C. booed when venturinha F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodosio Gizon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damian Maftei to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damian Maftei in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Damian Raebert saved venturinha F.C. from getting behind. If Yan de Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 55 minutes into the match, Esmeraldas S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Yan de Sousa came free, but Aguinaga Nebot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damian Raebert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Willy Reynolds in the 57th minute. 61 minutes into the game, Willy Reynolds recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Damian Raebert. Daniel Castillo took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Damian Raebert. Damian Raebert dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. The Esmeraldas S.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Esmeraldas S.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
